Is it possible to convert ClearCase back to CVS ?
I wonder how to handle the directory versioning in ClearCase and back
to CVS.

Once a ClearCase directory is versioned, the following situation may
happen:
1) Same ClearCase file element but using different file name in
different directory version.
2) Different ClearCase elements but using the same file name in
different directory version.
The worst case is its sub-directories are also versioned and contain a
completely different set of file and directory elements.

For me, it just like to convert Assembler language back to C++
language.

Unless you only want the latest version of files.

That is why ClearCase is the #1 SCM tool.  And, that is why ClearCase
is #1 confusing tool for general developers.

Note: I am neither IBMer nor Rational guy, I only tell you the fact.
