OK, thanks to Mark, Pino and Larry for the suggestions. I've got it now. It
looks like my tunnel was set up correctly, but the biggest block was the
CVSROOT - I was trying variations on :ext:jimhyslop@cvs.cvshome.org.
Using 'cvs -d :pserver:jimhyslop@localhost:/cvs', I've got it working with
Cygwin's ssh. PuTTY gives me an error, though:
> cvs -d:pserver:jimhyslop@localhost:2401/cvs st .cvsignore
cvs [status aborted]: reading from server: Software caused connection abort
I should be able to fine-tune it from here. Thanks again!
