The problem is that, unless you're the only one using the repository,
you have no idea *what* the "current state of the repository" is, so how
do you know that that's what you want a snapshot of?!? About the only
times that rtag is appropriate is when you're creating a branch based on
an existing tag or a historical tag based on a timestamp.
