I have a compromise suggestion.

Let stable and feature both complete tests and print out the passed,
skipped and warnings, but in the presense of any warnings, have the
sanity.sh script exit with a non-zero return code at the end of all
tests run.

Users may use the 'make -k' switch if they need/want the warnings to
be ignored and subsequent tests to continue.
