Hello world.

Wondered if somebody could help.

I'm new to the world of CVS and have a problem with CVS 1.11.19.

Managed to successfully install CVS 1.11.19 on a Solaris 8 server and migrate a repository from a HP server.

Users are using the TortoiseCVS client are are able to checkin and checkout successfully on existing data but are unable to create new modules under the CVS repository.

When an attempt is made they get the following :-

In C:\Temp\TortoiseCVS make new module temp\: cvs -q import -m "" fred tcvs-vendor tcvs-release
CVSROOT=:pserver:pshet001@cftts006.ssi.govt.nz:2401:/opt/cvs/repository

Terminated with fatal signal 11

Error, CVS operation failed

The directories on the Solaris 8 server are wide open, so I've discounted this. Seem some mailing lists which state they are having a similar problem and the cvs_acls perl script is mentioned, but no detail on what to do to fix the issue.

Appreciate any help in solving this problem.

regards

Gary Wake
