Follow-up Comment #1, task #4844 (project cvs):

I just sent the following to ftp-upload, following up a reply from Justin
Baugh:

Ah. Hrm. Okay, our problem is that we currently have no way to create
subdirectories on the savannah download directories and want to start posting
binaries. It would be way too messy and potentially confusing for users to
just add 10 binaries per release or whatever to Savannah's flat, toplevel
directory. When I discussed this with the Savannah admin, they suggested
asking you for direct access to ftp.gnu.org/non-gnu/cvs and sent the link to
the page of instructions for administrating ftp.gnu.org/gnu/<proj>, I guess.
:)

Is there any way that we could still be given control of the non-gnu/cvs
directory, even though it hasn't been done before, or do I need to take
download subdirectory administration up with the Savannah admin again?
