Then quit telling it to do things that it's already done!  CVS has no
way of knowing what you've already merged and what you haven't.  If
you're going to merge multiple times, then *you* must keep track
(typically via tags) and only ask CVS to merge things that haven't
already been merged.  See the manual for details:
