full workaround in a script.

                                        # While the -p option fails due to
confuse drive with directory "//D/" must be replaced by "/cygdrive/D/"
                                        sed_script='s/^\/\//\/cygdrive\//g'
                                        sed_result=`echo "$locfldr_adlfile"
| sed -e "$sed_script"`
                                        `mkdir -p "$sed_result"`
