Please note my example: I'm trying to copy a string with properties,
not text from a buffer. buffer-substring(-no-properties) do copy from
a buffer.

Yes, that can work. Thanks, I didn't know that one.
Still, it is strange there's no substring-no-properties. I suggest
adding it.
