I found a small bug,
ESC % a RET b RET ESC % ESC p
don't you think at this point we should be looking at a "a" instead of
a "b", and when we get around to filling in the second item, we should
be looking at a "b" instead of an "a".
Also affects query-replace-regexp.

By the way, they found what was wrong with my head.  My posts should
be more subdued from now on.
