Wait, I have an idea that would obsolete this "Hurd" stuff I keep
hearing mentioned: start emacs as root, then have 99% of emacs "su
my_regular_id" itself, leaving that 1% for when I want to do a quick
edit of something as root. There, saved you another $1,000,000 in
development budget.
