What WindowManager are you using? What version of gcc?

I can't really see how it could crash in that function, but I can't tell for sure. Perhaps you can run debugging with

run --GNU-Debug=XSynchronize --GNU-Debug=dflt

and see if it crashes somewhere else.



During the compilation of the GNUstep packages and of GNUMail, I had a
bunch of warning taht may be signifcant for you :
  Linking app GNUMail ...
/usr/bin/ld: warning: type and size of dynamic symbol
`__objc_class_name_InternetAddress' are not defined

These don't mean anything.
