Hi,
I'm trying to use Paje on top of GNUstep on Linux.
I'm a novice about GNUstep and Paje ...
I've installed the following:
ffcall-1.8b.tar.gz
gnustep-back-0.9.3.tar.gz
gnustep-base-1.9.2.tar.gz
gnustep-gui-0.9.3.tar.gz
gnustep-make-1.9.2.tar.gz
Paje-20040819.tgz
on my machine:
2x Xeon
Fedora Core 2
kernel 2.6.[7 or 8]
newest gcc, libutils, gcc (3.4.1), and NPTL.
and I'm using GNUstep in remote from either a PC/Linux or an Xterminal.
On the PC/Linux, I'm been able to see Paje running !
But, from my NCD Xterminal, it never appears, my Xterminal becomes very
slow,
and I get the following message:
Xlib: extension "MIT-SHM" missing on display "txgia2:0.0".
2004-08-20 08:59:55.245 Paje[3299] WARNING - XGServer is unable to use
a fast al
gorithm for writing to the display on this host - perhaps you'd like
to adjust t
he code to work ... and submit a patch
Any idea ?
I've lauched tests from: ..../gnustep-base-1.9.2/Testing :
make ; make check
(openapp basic.app don't work as well with all other examples. Why ?)
and I got the attached data.
I'm unable to say if everything is perfect or not. Can you help ?
As asked in the "GNUstep HOWTO" document page 9, I'm ready to give you
information
about the compilation of GNUstep in my environment. Apparently,
compiling GNUstep
succeeded easily, but maybe you are interested with details ...
