Follow-up Comment #8, bug #25534 (project gnustep):

I just figured out, this is not a problem related to ssh.

The problem seems to have to do with the resolution, or switching resolutions
on a desktop, but still using the same .GNUstepDefaults file.

I figured that out, after I replaced the ati driver with vesa driver in my
xorg.conf file, and restarted X11. Then the resolution switched from 1920x1200
to something very small. I logged in again, and then, no problem to start
SimpleAgenda or Gorm.

Then replacing the xorg.conf again, and restarting X11 again, and relogin
again.
Then at least the problem with the strange negative width of the window
disappeared silently, however, the applications still behaved strange. E.g. on
PC did not showed the menu when clicking the dock icon, and also the
inspectors and palettes window of the INspector did not open.

Therefore I thought it might have to be sth. to do with the defaults.
Therefore I removed my .GNUstepDefaults, and started trying those applications
again. and what can I say, they just work now.

I saved the problematic .GNUstepDefaults file, will take a look on it later
today, to figure out, which of those defaults in there caused the actual
problem.
