[bug #44731] GWorkspace can delete my Desktop Folder

Follow-up Comment #3, bug #44731 (project gnustep):

I think the bug was introduced by this optimization:

I am investigating how to fix the problem best. Selection does need to change
and a notification needs to happen if a window changes focus, yet before too
much was done.
