Hi Olaf,

Well, in the end it is your decision...

Would be nice though if you could explain why you think one way is
better than the other :-) What possible advantages and disadvantages do
you see in for each variant?

IMHO there is no specific plus or minus as to why I should select one method over the other. Both have equal pros and cons. After thinking about it and reading the code for 2 days, this is what I have thought.

If we take the existing procfs code and then start migrating it to use netfs, I may fear that it may not be possible everything in the existing code be ported. Though I am not sure about this, this is what I felt when I was going through the code. Moreover not every part of the code is well documented, so I felt it may turn out that it may be difficult to port everything.

But if we start writing everything from scratch, I felt we may end up re-inventing the wheel i.e we may do extra amount of work which may involve implementing the features already implemented. So I would like to ask you which you feel better.

Given me a choice I would like to take the task first starting with netfs backbone and porting those features that can be ported along side implementing the new features paralelly which takes advantages of both the methods.

I am open for both the ways.
