I just put the mission stement into the wiki 
(that's the beauty of using the wiki as staging area for the website: I can 
just change something and upload it, and if it isn't good enough for the 
website, we can work on it till it is).

Also I added Olafs explanations in the wiki-weblog section - I hope that's ok 
(if not, we can just remove the commits - or refactor them).
