The problem is that I don't have much experiment in the development of device drivers and very limited knowledge of the hardware device. What I have now is the time and the motivation:-)

I just read "An I/O System for Mach 3.0" and realized that the developers of Mach 3.0 actually developed user-level drivers for the Ethernet and the SCSI disk.
It is certainly very good news to me, though I need to find them first:-)
