No. Again, as I said, it's simply when an application wants to use the
network, i.e. call the usual libc socket() function, that glibc opens
/servers/sockets/2, which thus triggers the pfinet translator configured
there. It's the same for all /servers and /dev entries, as well as
"mounted" filesystems.

It's not in a file, it's in the translator record of node
/servers/socket/2

Sure, you just seem to have forgotten to read the basic documentations
about translators.
