No, it's really not. My build host is running the packages without
this patch series and it is happily building packages using
fakeroot-hurd.

Someone else has to do that. I've been verbally abused by him on this
list before. If I ever feel the need for that again I'll join the
Linux developer community instead.
If someone else wants to pick up, this version of the patch series is
a good start.
