Note this also means that features like dynamic linker namespaces and audit
modules are essentially unusable on the Hurd. That is unfortunate (while
the fact that static linking usage that was already ill-advised is wholly
untenable does not actually bother me at all). But changing this would
require a major overhaul and redesign of the entire client-side
implementation of the Hurd.
