Possible internship

Hi

I'm a bachelor student interested in embedded systems. My final theses is connected with micro kernel based operating system, and I would really love to discover and contribute to this project as much as I can. I also need to find an internship opportunity. Thus, I was wondering if some knowledgeable developer could become my mentor, guide me and answer my questions.

I must note that I'm not yet too experienced with systems development, and the most meaningful project I've done so far was assembling Linux from scratch and BLFS. I've also used GNU Guix, and became somewhat familiar with Guile Scheme and Shepherd daemon manager. Although I lack certain knowledge at this time, I like to believe that I'm a capable learner, especially under a good mentorship.

My primary interest in this is how to port it to riscv64 architecture, and make a usable, power-efficient desktop user experience.

Not sure if GNU can provide an internship opportunity, let alone make my university accept it, but I would love to hear some recommendations for this.
