Hi!
A new release of libtool is needed as it is not usable with
the autoconf 2.49a release. It seems it is due to the changed
config.cache stuff.
Everything is fine, if using CVS libtool and CVS automake and
reworking around a bug in automake wrt make dist (requires
ltconfig which is gone - bugreport filed)
