libtool-1.5.2 fails several tests on HP-UX |

I just built libtool-1.5.2 for HP-UX 10.20 using
HP's ANSI C compiler version B.10.20.09.
The build was smooth, and I am reporting three
test failures that came up when I ran "make check".
The tagdemo-make.test test failed; it's listed as a
failed test three times.
Output at the end of "make check" indicated:
====================================
3 of 87 tests failed
(14 tests were not run)
Please report to address@hidden
====================================
I also tried building libtool with gcc 3.3.2, GNU
make 3.8.l0, and binutils 2.14. This time "make
check" said:
====================================
3 of 96 tests failed
(14 tests were not run)
Please report to address@hidden
====================================
The failing tests were different for my GNU-built
libtool:
demo-make.test
demo-exec.test
demo-inst.test
And, the tagdemo-make.test tests succeeded this time.
Let me know if you'd like me to provide any other
detail, try building libtool in a different way,
whatever.
Regards,
- Chris Seip
