Hi Roberto!

$ autoreconf -i
aclocal: configure.ac: 31: macro `AM_PROG_LIBTOOL' not found in library
autoreconf: aclocal failed with exit status: 1

This indicates that your autoconf is not new enough. CVS libtool is moving
away from AC_ and AM_ macros and trying to stay in the LT_ namespace.

I don't recall whether the latest autoconf release understands LT_INIT (the
replacement for AC_PROG_LIBTOOL), so you may also need a CVS autoconf.

If you intend to convert your own configure.ac files to use CVS libtool,
you will need to run autoupdate from a recent autoconf after you have installed libtool's latest macros. Or you can do it by hand if you look at the demo
directories for examples...

And, moreover, I don't know which configure.ac the message
is talking about. Here is line 31 of the configure.ac
in the ccdemo directory:

You can see `Entering foo directory' and `Leaving foo directory' messages
in the output... so it would still be in the directory most recently
entered.

HTH,
        Gary.
