The patch is wrong.  After the tree reorganization last week, you
have to throw away your build tree once (you do use separate source
and build trees, right?).

And after that, both bootstrapping as well as building and testing
(cf. your other mail) should work just dandily.  If not: post
versions of other autotools used.  Show more context around the
failure.
