make check fails on sparc-sun-solaris2.10

Hi,

I've run libtool's test suite for different versions on
a sparc-sun-solaris2.10 machine with these results:

the 2.1a and the 1.5.23c tarballs are today's snapshots.

I'm appending the logs, which consist of fours parts:

(1) configure output
(2) make output
(3) make check output
(4) config.log content

I've left the prompt in there, so sections are easily
distinguishable via the string 'bash-3.2'.
