libtool 2.4.4 failed test demo-exec: helldl crashed

I successfully built libtool 2.4.4 in Cygwin, but during make check, 
demo-exec.test failed with Error 53 when tests/demo/helldl.exe crashed. 
All other tests were successful.

I'm a bit new to this, as my original development background was 
originally for Classic Mac OS, and more recently I have been using Xcode 
on Mac OS X. Although I've built several *n?x libraries, tools, etc for 
BSD/Darwin (through Terminal.app) on Mac OS X, I don't know my way 
around the related development tools all that well. [I plan to learn 
these things much more thoroughly when I can, but for now I've been 
quite busy with other development work in a different environment.]

Anyway, how could I go about gathering relevant information as per the 
cause of the test in question failing?
