Hi Ralf, Karl, a cut down version (in volume, not so much in complexity) of the TL tree can be found in ftp://ftpth.mppmu.mpg.de/pub/peb/TLwork/libtool-problem-2009-09-29.tar.bz2 ftp://ftpth.mppmu.mpg.de/pub/peb/TLwork/libtool-problem-2009-09-29.tar.gz The build instructions are extremely simple: untar, go to libtool-problem-2009-09-29/ and run ./Build: this shall do a VPATH build in ./World and install into ./inst. We have just tested this to ensure the problem persists: the Build on solaris10 fails (in texk/testing/) with './libtool: syntax error at line 639' and we have to specify CONFIG_SHELL; on solaris11 this problem has disappeared.
