Hello Paolo,

you don't need to install anything, buildroot is taking care of
installation of required host tools within output/host/.
Otherwise I'm sorry but I can't respond to the build time question...
The longer part is to compile gcc/uclibc.
It depends a lot on your harddrive too. On my laptop it's close to 1 or 2 hours.
