\skip in \lyricmode

Hello,

I'm using lily 2.4.2.. and I'm having troubles with lyrics that have long
silences, while other lyric parts continue.

First, \skip does nothing of it's first argument, which at my sense is a bug,
since it *must* be specified.. but means nothing.

I'd suggest a:

\skipNotes num

syntax, and you could count the number of notes you want to skip.. at least it
would save you from typing:

\skip 1

30 times just to skip a couple of measures.

This problems occurs when I have a A B A' form. (you know.. Christmas
carols :)

the A parts consist of 4 different stanzas, and the B part is a refrain (?),
one single line.

I'd like to have:

1 first stanza } { Continue alone one
2 second stanza } Here you sing all together { Continue alone two
3 third stanza } { Continue alone three
4 fourth stanza } { Continue alone four

I'd would be fun to have curly braces also.. so that everyone knows they're
all singing the middle line. and maybe a way to center the middle line ("Here
you sing all together")

thanks
