Oops.  The rest of the sentence follows in the next paragraph -- "... 
EC font family and so if you use characters..."

Thanks for the bug report, but since the text _is_ there, and I'm not 
quite
certain how to patch 2.4 stuff, I'm going to leave it as is and work on 
other
doc issues.
