I just noted that the Tutorial says that a (de)crescendo can be ended by either another dynamic event or by \!. The section on "Basic notation",
on the other hand only says that it should be ended by an \!.

So which is correct? Does this apply to 2.4.2? If the first choice is true I have just learned something very important.

It's easy to test yourself, but the following file shows that it works on 2.4.5.
\version "2.4.5"
{ c'4\< e' g'\f a' }

I'm certain that it also applies to 2.4.2

However, I'm not certain how to backport patches. I've fixed it in CVS for 2.5.
