Thank you for your reply, Graham. I wish it had worked. Unfortunately it did not. The error that shows is:

Corelli-Sonata-7-Opus-5.ly:67:15: error: syntax error, unexpected MUSIC_IDENTIFIER, expecting SCM_T or STRING or SCM_IDENTIFIER or '}':
     \pageBrea
               k

Or am I using the wrong page break?

So far so good though. I have an extra piano part for this book of Sonatas but lost the violin part 25 years ago and am too cheap to buy a copy (read having too much fun with Lilypond) just for the violin part to give to a new student.

Try putting the page break in the header. Search the lilypond-user; somebody posted
how to do this recently.

Alternatively, wait for the next stable version (2.6 or 3.0); it includes a "breakbefore"
option which does this automatically.
