Don't take this to seriously plz Jan but damn, where do you get the
ideas for such great solutions? =)

@ Eric:
I had the exact same problem and also posted a bug report against
Pedro's 2.4.2 sarge/sid packages (twice actually), unfortunately without
an answer.

I know from debian's bts that lilypond has just recently been assigned a
new maintainer after quite some time of being de-facto unmaintained.
Also I built a package from the lilypond.org source with just a few
modifications because the 'design' of the old packaging layout wasn't
up-to-date. I'll probably put it online in the next few days, if you're
interessted just drop me a line.
