If you provide a copy of the output of
lilypond --verbose yourfile.ly
then it might be easier to figure out what goes wrong.
Did you, by chance, update your teTeX installation from
version 2 to version 3?

Should be fixed in CVS.
Any idea why upgrading my Debian sid would change the title and markup
default fonts to a simple sans-serif. This drastically reduces the
usefulness of Pedro's 2.4.2 lilypond-snapshot packages which is about
all I can use now unless I build from CVS.
