It would be nice to have the following feature in LilyPond: many
contemporary scores use so-called "notes-reservoirs" where some (mostly
stemless) notes are enclosed in a box and may be played in any order:

Such boxes may also be used for pedagogical purposes, in which case they
may enclose a music fragment on multiple staves:

It has been suggested to hack around the Horizontal_bracket_engraver, of to
create a whole new Box_engraver. Read the discussion on

Although any fee has been suggested I could personally throw in €50 and/or
double any bounty raised for this implementation (preferably if it also
supports the multi-staff feature).
