A good idea is to ask yourself the question "how did I know about this
in the first place?" and then look at the same place in the current
distribution of LilyPond.
But before you do even that, run convert-ly -ed on your old files.
convert-ly knows about a lot of syntax changes and it would have caught
this one _iff_ you used the proper syntax (namely overriding
#'flag-style rather than the non-existing #'flag) and put the proper
\version header at the top of the file _corresponding_ to the syntax in
the file.
You are _not_ supposed to update the \version header yourself. It is
for convert-ly (and for LilyPond) to consult, and for convert-ly to
update.
