Sorry to come back on this one (seems i'm little blind this mornig).
So here it goes :

Text crescendi (or decrescendi, ritardandi, etc.) show a dashed line by
default. To hide this spanner line, simply set the @code{dash-period}
of @code{DynamicTextSpanner} (or @code{TextSpanner} if you use one for
@qq{rit.}) to a negative value.
