Finally I got it. I was setting up a classpath for updating images, and
apparently the tomcat script does not clean up the classpath (weird, in my
opinion), so it was picking up jars it shouldn't have.

No, -dpreview was never used. It doesn't look like something that should be
used--it generates a preview with just the first system. If the snippet
relevant behaviour is on the second system you won't see it.
