So what do you expect for
{ <\hide c'' e''>4 }
Stem or no stem?
I might add that
{ <\single\hide Stem c'' g''>4 }
hides the Stem (since its cause points to the c'' NoteHead) while
{ <c'' \single\hide Stem g''>4 }
doesn't hide it (since its cause points to the c'' NoteHead).
So it's somewhat tricky to derive a consistent behavior here.
