I didn't mean to be rude...

I guess that you don't know what ~ means.
That page is written by a Linux-minded/command-line user and a Mac user 
may not understand it well.

When you save the file called lilypond using your favorite editor, make 
sure you save it in the folder bin under your home directory.

Disclaimer: I've never used a Mac!
