Hi,

My name is Toby Cabot and I'm the GNU Project Volunteer Coordinator.
We've got an item on the GNU tasklist (it's been there for years) and
I'm not sure if it's still relevant so I thought I'd check.

The item reads: "Add features to GNU Make to record the precise rule
with which each file was last recompiled; then recompile any file if
its rule in the makefile has changed."

I'm inclined to think that this item is so old that it's probably no
longer needed but if I hear otherwise I'll be glad to keep it on the
list.

Regards,
Toby
