I'm trying to compile make 3.80 on HP-UX 11.11. I've gotten past the "@REMOTE@" issue by replacing it with stub. But now when I run build.sh I get the following:
compiling variable.c...
compiling version.c...
compiling vpath.c...
compiling hash.c...
compiling remote-stub.c...
compiling getloadavg$U.c...
gcc: ./getloadavg$U.c: No such file or directory
gcc: no input files

There is a getloadavg.c but I don't know why it adds the $U. Sure would appreciate some help.
