Hi Christophe; thanks for the suggestion. Note that all translations of
GNU packages, including GNU make, are handled through the Translation
Project (http://translationproject.org/).
In particular, GNU make's translation page is
http://translationproject.org/domain/make.html
And the page for the French translation team is here:
http://translationproject.org/team/fr.html
Any change to the translations needs to be submitted to them. I don't
maintain any translations myself: when I make a release of GNU make I
always download the latest directly from the TP site and use that in the
package I create.
