I don't know. It never does that for me. Can you give me more details
about your system?
Unfortunately this code is tricky because I'm trying to ensure that
targets are built in a reliable order even when parallelism is involved,
but do it in a portable way. Probably I should rewrite this to use Perl
since I know it's available in order to run the regression tests, rather
than trying to make do with portable shell scripting.
