URL: <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?48057> Summary: make 4.2 breaks parallel builds of git, perl, dialog, xterm and probably more Project: make Submitted by: None Submitted on: Mon 30 May 2016 11:30:29 AM UTC Severity: 3 - Normal Item Group: Bug Status: None Privacy: Public Assigned to: None Open/Closed: Open Discussion Lock: Any Component Version: 4.2 Operating System: None Fixed Release: None Triage Status: None _______________________________________________________ Details: the problem with git has been reported already here: http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/bug-make/2016-05/msg00041.html I found the same problem with the programs mentioned in the summary line. All of them are failing with the 'install' target which can be fixed by adding a '-j1' to the make call. Reverting commit http://git.savannah.gnu.org/cgit/make.git/commit/?id=9bb994e8319c2b153cd3d6d61e2c2882895e7c3a solves the issues for me. _______________________________________________________ Reply to this item at: <http://savannah.gnu.org/bugs/?48057> _______________________________________________ Message sent via/by Savannah http://savannah.gnu.org/
