@xref punctuation bug

In the attached Texinfo example, the @xref and @pxref is typeset like
this in dvi output:

Sieve  The Sieve language is described in RFC 3028.  See section "Top" in Emacs 
Sive
       .

Note the misplaced "." and ")."

This is with version 2003-04-21.17 of texinfo.tex.  The punctuation is
placed correctly with an old version (1999-09-25.10) of texinfo.tex.
