Hi,

I would be willing to help building up a test suite too. 

I have allready done something like that for texi2html. I used real manuals 
and also special manuals testing for specific features. A script runs 
texi2html, test the return value, make diffs against references.
I did everything artisanally. I believe things should be done more 
systematically with a better infrastructure in texinfo, but I don't know 
anything about test infrastructure nor where guidelines are.

Still I have some manuals testing for wierd things.
