interesting question.  I have an implementation of optional parameter of
@acronym, not yet complete.  In my implementation,

        @acronym{GPL2, General public license, version 2}

would ignore the ``third parameter'' and I'd recommend

        @acronym{GPL2, {General public license, version 2}}

as the right notation.

What do you think?
